Things to Know About Using Polaroid TV Remote Controls

Remote controls allow television viewers to control every aspect of their viewing experience from anywhere in a room. Polaroid makes specific remote controls for its own televisions and devices, and universal remotes for devices manufactured by other companies.

How do you program a Polaroid TV remote control?

Typically, a universal Polaroid TV control can be used with up to four devices at a time. To sync a device with the remote, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the TV you want the remote control to operate. Keep other synced devices turned off while programming the remote.
  2. Push the Input button on the remote of your Polaroid TV. The LED indicator will blink once.
  3. Press the Set button and hold it down. When you see the LED indicator blink three times in a row, release the Set button.
  4. Enter the first five-digit code thats listed for your device. After each five-digit series of numbers, the indicator will blink twice, confirming that the code has been entered.
  5. While pointing at the TV screen with it, press the Power button on the remote. If the device turns on, it means the code was correct and the remote has been programmed. If it does not, repeat the process using the next code on the list.
How do you activate and deactivate SAP on Polaroid TV?

Secondary audio programming (SAP) is a feature that Polaroid televisions have. This feature provides a secondary audio stream that allows viewers to listen to a program in a language other than the original. By deactivating the SAP feature, you can go back to listening to the program in its original language. To accomplish this, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Power button to turn on your TV.
  2. Press the Menu button on your remote.
  3. Find and select the Audio menu from the options.
  4. Select the SAP option. Note that with some television models, this option may be labeled MS. To activate SAP, use the remote control to change the setting from ON to OFF. To deactivate SAP, change the setting from OFF to ON.
How do you change batteries in your Polaroid TV remote?

Once you have used up all the charge in the batteries of your Polaroid TV remote control, it is time to replace them with a fresh set. You can do this by following these steps:

  1. Open the battery compartment of the remote control by pushing the cover away from the main body of the device.
  2. Remove the spent batteries.
  3. Put in the new batteries. Be sure to match the plus and minus signs of the batteries with their corresponding signs on the battery compartment of the remote control.
  4. Put the back of the battery compartment back into place.

Note that the remote control will reset itself whenever its batteries are removed. As a result, you will have to enter the appropriate codes once again to program the device.
