Designed by Bruce Kilgore as a lifestyle shoe and released in early 2009, the Nike Jordan 2.5s have a similar profile as the original Air Jordan 2s. Compared to their predecessor, the Jordan 2.5 Team Breds have a bit more cushioning in the arches and thicker outsoles. On the aesthetic side, the colorway uses red square lace holes at the bottom and matching stitches at the top to add some pizazz to the shoe's functionality. The midsole sets contoured leather against a series of cracked asphalt graphics, and a thick, black support insert acts as a bridge to the outsole. To provide extra flexibility, the Jordan 2.5 Team Breds have a large air pocket directly under the heel. A contrasting gray tongue and white sock-like interior complete the design.
