    Almost-pocketable powerhouse

This iPad is a replacement for my 5-year-old iPad 3, which had slowed to a point where even opening the Wall Street Journal app and downloading the latest edition took several minutes (no exaggeration; I could make my coffee and toast and find it still wasn't quite fully downloaded). I'd given my partner a second-generation iPad Mini a couple of years ago, and loved how light and easy it was to use. So when mine finally started biting the dust, it was pretty clear which one to buy. Given that Apple seems not be refreshing the Mini line all that frequently, there seemed little reason to wait until the March 2017 product announcement in hopes prices might fall a little further on current models. I chose the Mini 4 over the Mini 2 because I do like the fingerprint reader (I'm used to that from my iPhone) and I wanted a chipset that would have more staying power. This particular example had been used for less than a year and was in terrific shape, with just a couple of microscopic dings. I use mine in a case anyway so it looks pristine. And it's great for everything I need: books, music, games, video/TV. Charges quickly, holds its charge for many hours, and is easy on the hand.

The last of a good thing?

I have always liked the iPad Mini. I do not want a bigger phone, and I do not like carrying a large iPad on trips, as mostly I want it to read email and books, and look at web pages. The less I can carry in weight the better. Alas, Apple seems to have dropped this line as the only mini available now is the 4, which is approaching 18 months old, with 128 GB of memory, more than most people need, and at a very high price compared to pother iPads. Seeing that 2 possible release dates have passed for an iPad Mini 5, I decided to go for the 4 just to update my aging and slowing iPad Mini 2. This is fast, up to date, an excellent screen, and with this much capacity, I put TV and movies on it for traveling as well. And it is fast enough with enough RAM to run the split screen features of the new iOS, which I also really like. If you want a Mini, this may be the last one you will find, and it does the job really well. Just wish we had one with force sensitive screens and newer processors.

    This Mini Rocks!

This was a terrific upgrade from my old iPad Mini 2! It has a healthy amount of memory, much faster and more responsive processor, and other than the well-documented deformation around the power jack, is in excellent condition and works flawlessly. Love all the new (to me) features like fingerprint open, much improved keyboard usability and the various gesture shortcuts. I bought this primarily so I could run the latest IOS as I support a wide variety of PC and Apple products and it's critical to be able to refer to one while on the phone talking a client through resolving an issue. Also, current DJI software was not compatible with my older Mini 2, so now I can enjoy a bigger screen when flying my drone. All in all, a great upgrade from the Mini 2, and I look forward to exploring all the newest features and improvements.

    Compact, Portable, Highly Functional

I was looking for something a little more for the on the go person. I had an iPad 2 (I know super old) for years and it served me great. Something just wasn't right about it and for me it was the feel. It was just too big to really hold in your hand. The iPad mini 4 is much more compact and is super fast. If you're looking for something functional for texting at home, web surfing, emailing, watching videos or chrome casting and you don't want/need the huge screen or pencil or really any other crazy computing power, this is for you. Pair it with the ZAGGfolio for the iPad mini 4 with the hinged multi view angle functionality and you'll be happy as a clam. Highly recommend!

    Great size and weight!

This is definitely no iPad Pro, but it still has great features. Apple did a good thing in extending the iOS 11 upgrade to the iPad Minis. I needed a small, lightweight tablet to fit into smaller handbags. This was the perfect choice. I use this tablet for games and magazines, both things that I prefer to do while waiting in the doctor's office. The screen is fantastic for a small tablet and the games don't appear to be lagging in speed. I'm quite satisfied with this tablet and find that I actually use it everyday even though I own 4 iPad Pros. Don't sit on the fence for this one, particularly if you can get it at a good price.

I Love my little guy iPad Mini-4

It's nice and light to hold but I do need to find something that will help me grip it better. It's way faster than my old, big 64GB iPad2 but I had a device to help me grab it and hold it safely. In spite of slight difficulty gripping it solidly, the Mini-4 is great!!! Bright, fast, and light weight. I'm thrilled with it. As far as long lasting battery, I get a good afternoon use for at least 5 or 6 hours if I'm on it constantly and when I leave it on next to my bed at night it still has power left in the morning even if I played with it during the night.

Mini IPad is a Great Gift

I have had a mini Apple iPad for years. I bought this one to give as a birthday gift to a relative because of the light weight and ease of use. It's perfect for someone that is retired and does not want to sit at a desk working on a computer. It also has very nice photo quality. There are no cons in my opinion. I used to take one on trips as it fit into my purse easily. I never have had a problem with the battery. A great charger comes with the iPad and a small booklet explaining how long the battery normally lasts.

    the Apple of my Eye!

Great buy, I love Apple products so I may be biased, but this model is amazing. Lightweight, easy to handle and hold. Battery life is great depending on how you use it. If you are a frequent apple user you know that turning the brightness setting helps keep battery life longer and prevents device from overheating. Turning off other unused settings helps to keep battery life long lasting. Over all, its a great item to have. I may go iPad Pro one day, but this is handy for now because it fits nicely into my hand bag without being bulky. I love it!

    Great bang for the buck.

There are lots of these on eBay at really good prices. It seems iOS 11 really slowed them down. Remember the controversy in the news about Apple intentionally slowing down older devices?. Well these are upgradable to iOS 12.1 which makes them fast as they used to be. What a bargain. I bought a version 2 and a version 4 and after the upgrade they work very very well. The Retina display is beautiful, and the battery life is great.

    Great features excelent Quality

I bought the mini iPad to work in conjunction with my new DJI Phantom 4 drone. The screen is great clarity. With brilliant colors and the CPU keeps up with the video and all the information from the drone without any drag or hesitation. This was a great investment. The only problems I see, is that it tends to get a little hot and the battery does not last as long as it should.
